A winning day for Stanford sports teams

Brian Ragira hit for the cycle and the Stanford baseball team beat visiting Santa Clara, 9-1, in a nonconference game Tuesday.

Just beyond the left field fence of Sunken Diamond, Michelle Prong doubled home three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to rally the Cardinal softball team to a 4-3 victory over visiting UC Davis in a nonconference game.

A couple thousand miles east, the Stanford women's lacrosse team was busy pounding host Cincinnati, 20-8, in a nonconference contest. Sarah Flynn scored five times in the match.
