■ Jazz: Scott Hamilton

Tenor saxophonist Scott Hamilton will perform tonight (Feb. 25) at 7:30 p.m. with pianist Larry Vuckovich, drummer Vince Lateano and bass player Al Obidinsky. Based in Italy, Hamilton has recorded more than 40 albums and has played with Tony Bennett, Anita O'Day, Rosemary Clooney and others. Presented by the Palo Alto Jazz Alliance, the concert is at the First Congregational Church, 1985 Louis Road, Palo Alto. Tickets are $35 general, $30 for alliance members and $15 for students. ■ Theater: 'Julius Caesar'

Two free performances of Shakespeare's "Julius Caesar" are planned tonight (Feb. 25) at 7 and 10:30 p.m. in the Elliot Program Center, 589 Governor's Ave., Stanford University. The play is presented by the Stanford Shakespeare Company, with an additional performance at 8 p.m. Feb. 26. Go to shakespeare.stanford.edu.
