■ Career talk: Jobs in tech policy

Andrew McLaughlin, an attorney whose resume includes working as Deputy Chief Technology Officer of the U.S. in the Obama White House, will give a free informal public seminar tomorrow (Feb. 10) at 12:45 p.m. on finding a job in tech policy. The event is in the Stanford Law School, Room 280B; reservations are requested (go to http://cyberlaw.stanford.edu/node/6604). ■ Theater: 'Taboos'

"Taboos," a Carl Djerassi play about the nature of family -- and about a lesbian couple and a fundamental Christian pair seeking to have children -- opens tomorrow (Feb. 10) at 8 p.m. and runs through Feb. 12. Performances are in Cubberley Auditorium, 485 Lasuen Mall, Stanford University. Tickets are $25 general, $20 for seniors and free for Stanford University students.
