■ Talk: Jack Dorsey

Twitter creator Jack Dorsey is set to give a free public talk today (Feb. 9) at 4:30 p.m. as part of Stanford University's weekly Entrepreneurial Thought Leaders Seminar series. The talk is on campus at the NVIDIA Auditorium in the Huang Engineering Center. Dorsey is also the CEO of Square; its main product allows debit and credit cards to be accepted on a mobile device such as an iPhone. For more about the talk, go to events.stanford.edu.

■ Theater: 'Noises Off'

As if the Michael Frayn farce "Noises Off" weren't complicated enough, the drama department at Menlo School is presenting alternating performances with two casts -- concluding with a mixed-cast performance. The play opens tonight (Feb. 9) at 7:30 p.m. at 50 Valparaiso Ave., Atherton, and runs through Feb. 13. Tickets are $10 general and $7 for students. Go to menloschool.org.
