Three-car crash snarls traffic on Highway 101

Collision in Mountain View blocks lanes during morning commute

A multi-vehicle crash blocked lanes of northbound U.S. Highway 101 in Mountain View for about 45 minutes this morning, a California Highway Patrol officer said.

The crash was reported shortly before 7:30 a.m. on northbound Highway 101 near Moffett Boulevard, CHP Officer Eric Anderson said. Three vehicles were involved in the crash, which was blocking the two left lanes of the highway.

An ambulance responded to the crash but Anderson did not have any information about possible injuries. The lanes reopened at about 8:15 a.m. when the crash was cleared from the roadway, he said.
