■ Film: 'The Mark of Zorro'

The 1940 adventure film "The Mark of Zorro" will be screened today (Jan. 31) at 7:30 p.m. at the Stanford Theatre, 221 University Ave., Palo Alto. Admission is $7 and includes a screening of "The Prisoner of Zenda" preceding or following the main feature. For more information, visit Stanford Theatre.

■ Poetry: Stephen Dobyns

Poet and novelist Stephen Dobyns, author of 30 books, will read from his works today (Jan. 31) at 8 p.m. at Cubberley Auditorium, Stanford Campus. For more information, visit Stanford Events.
