Menlo's Harris, Taylor honored by Cal Pac

 

Menlo College basketball players Julian Harris and Brittany Taylor each received a Christmas bonus Wednesday in the form of Cal Pac Conference Player of the Week honors.

Harris averaged 17.5 points in the Oaks' two games last week. Menlo lost 67-57 to Westmont College in Santa Barbara on Friday and beat Pomona-Pitzer, 67-57, in Claremont on Saturday.

Harris leads Menlo with a 20.2 scoring average, 3-pointers (27) and 3-point shooting percentage (.365). He averages over 36 minutes a contest.

The Oaks' men next play Dec. 28 at Fresno Pacific.

Taylor scored 18 points in the Oaks' lone game of the week, a 76-59 loss to Corban on Friday. She's averaging 11.1 per game while leading the team with 19 3-pointers.

The Oaks' women host Johnson and Wales University of Colorado on Dec. 29.
