■ Theater: 'A Christmas Memory'

TheatreWorks' production of the new musical "A Christmas Memory," based on a Truman Capote story, continues its run at the Lucie Stern Theatre, 1305 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto. The show runs through Dec. 26, with performances Tuesday through Sunday. Tickets are $24-$56. For more information, go to theatreworks.org.

■ Exhibit: 'Holiday Bells & Whistles'

The Los Altos History Museum is currently hosting an exhibit called "Holiday Bells & Whistles," with quilts, model trains and other seasonal items on display. The exhibit runs through Jan. 2 at 51 S. San Antonio Road in Los Altos. Opening hours are Thursday through Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.; admission is free. Go to losaltoshistory.org.

The 33rd Annual Palo Alto Weekly Short Story Contest is now accepting entries for Adult, Young Adult (15-17) and Teen (12-14) categories. Send us your short story (2,500 words or less) and entry form by March 29. First, Second and Third Place prizes awarded in each category.
