"Double Identity" by Brittany Nguyen was the first place story in the children 9-11 category of the 25th annual Palo Alto Weekly Short Story Contest.
"The Kitchen Maid's Apprentice" by Grace Yukkiko Kuffner won first place in the teen 12-14 category of the 25th annual Palo Alto Weekly Short Story Contest.
"Monday" by Caitlin Colvin won first place in the young adult 15-17 category of the 25th annual Palo Alto Weekly Short Story Contest.
Once again the Palo Alto Weekly honors some of the best fiction writers in the community with its 25th annual Short Story Contest.
This week we've posted the first-place entries in the child, teen and young-adult categories, which cover such topics as a rivalry between two young writers, a forbidden friendship between a princess and a servant, and a look at an average Monday from multiple perspectives.
