■ Mountain View High School Concert

Mountain View High School's music department will hold a show featuring the symphonic band, the wind ensemble, a 70-piece string orchestra and the chamber orchestra today (Dec. 9) at 7 p.m. at Spartan Theater, 3535 Truman Ave., Mountain View. Tickets are $6-$8. For more information, visit MVHS.

■ Shadow Puppet Show

Daniel Barash of the Shadow Puppet Workshop will present "Spin Me a Shadow, Tell Me a Winter's Tale". The audience will be introduced to the art of shadow puppetry, followed by a shadow puppet performance of folktales from around the world today (Dec. 9) at 4:30 p.m. at Portola Valley Library, 765 Portola Road, Portola Valley.
