Goalies headline All-Central Coast Section girls' water polo

The two goalies who led their teams to Central Coast Section water polo championships this season headline the 2010 All-CCS teams, as selected by a panel of coaches.

Senior Emily Dorst, who anchored Menlo-Atherton's defense in the Bears' 6-5 victory over St. Francis in the Division I finale, was named the Most Valuable Player in that division. She helped the top-seeded Bears finish the year 18-9 and with the second section title in school history.

Senior Catherine Donahoe played a similar role for Sacred Heart Prep as she anchored a stingy Gators' defense during a 12-4 triumph over Castilleja in the CCS Division II championship match. Not too surprising, Donahoe was named the MVP in her division.

Thank you for printing the Girls Water Polo All League results and congratulations to the girls mentioned. How do we see results for the other local divions, these girls would like to know who made the teams as well. Is it possible to obtain this information and how do we go about it. There has been nothing printed in the San Jose Mercury News and that doesn't surprise me at all !!!
