■ Community: 'Oh! For the Love of Critters!'

The Palo Alto Humane Society is hosting a celebration of its 102nd year of service; the event, called "Oh! For the Love of Critters!", begins at 7 p.m. tonight (Dec. 2) at the Aquarius Theatre, 430 Emerson St., Palo Alto. The event will include a showing of the 1964 Disney fantasy film "The Three Lives of Thomasina," as well as costumes and bagpipe performances. Admission is $2. ■ Dance: Afoutayi Dance Company

The Afoutayi Dance Company will give a free performance at 6 p.m. tonight (Dec. 2) in the Cantor Arts Center auditorium at Stanford University. The performance is intended to give a greater understanding of the Vodou religion, which is also the subject of a current exhibition at the museum. For more information, go to museum.stanford.edu.
