■ Family theater: 'Charlotte's Web'

The Foothill College theater department and Mountain View's Peninsula Youth Theatre present a joint production of "Charlotte's Web" at 2 p.m. Dec. 4 and 5 and at 5 p.m. Dec. 4. The production is in Smithwick Theatre at Foothill College, 12345 El Monte Road, Los Altos Hills. Tickets are $8, with discounts available for groups. Call 650-949-7360 or go to foothill.edu.

■ Dance: 'The Nutcracker'

The Mountain View-based Western Ballet brings the regular holiday guest "The Nutcracker" to the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts this weekend. Performances are 7 p.m. Friday (Dec. 3), 1 and 7 p.m. Saturday (Dec. 4) and 1 and 6:30 p.m. Sunday (Dec. 5) at 500 Castro St. Tickets are $29 general, $26 for seniors, $25 for students and $24 for kids ages 12 and under. ■ Music: California Bach Society

On Saturday (Dec. 4) at 8 p.m., Palo Alto's California Bach Society performs a concert of 17th-century sacred choral music for the Nativity. The performance is at All Saints' Episcopal Church, 555 Waverley St., Palo Alto. Tickets are $25 general, $18 for seniors and $10 for students when bought in advance. Go to calbach.org.
