The need to knit

(L-R) Estelle Chalfin, Debby Damm, Roni Strauss and Dana Bailey chat and knit garments (with Charley the dog at their feet) during the Knitting Circle at Deborah's Palm in Palo Alto on Wednesday (Dec. 1).

The women usually meet every week at the circle, which happens every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon and is free.
