■ Film: 'Showboat'

The 1936 film version of the classic musical "Showboat" will be screened today (Nov. 22) at 7:30 p.m. at the Stanford Theatre, 221 University Ave., Palo Alto. Admission is $7 and includes entry to a showing of "Gold Diggers of 1933" preceding or following "Showboat." For more information, visit Stanford Theatre.

■ Exhibit: 'Painted Hills, Electric Sky'

Joe Decker's exhibit color photographs created during his monsoon-season residency, granted by the National Park Service, at Petrified Forest National Park in eastern Arizona will be on display today (Nov. 22) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Pacific Art League, 668 Ramona St., Palo Alto.
