■ Music: Mark O'Connor

The contemporary composer Mark O'Connor blends classical, folk, jazz and flamenco influences into his violin compositions. At 8 p.m. tomorrow (Nov. 19), he's scheduled to perform his work "Strings and Threads" with the New Century Chamber Orchestra at the First United Methodist Church of Palo Alto, 625 Hamilton Ave. The program also includes O'Connor's "Song of the Liberty Bell" and Bach's "Goldberg Variations" (arranged by Sitkovetsky). ■ Theater: 'Twelve Angry Men'

Gunn High School's theater department is presenting the Reginald Rose play "Twelve Angry Men," with 8 p.m. performances tomorrow (Nov. 19) and Saturday (Nov. 20). Shows are in the Little Theatre at 780 Arastradero Road, Palo Alto. Tickets are $10 general and $8 for students. Go to gunntheatre.org.
