■ Art talk: Jinnie Seo and Paul David Young

The Djerassi Resident Artists Program concludes this year's series of artist talks at 7 p.m. tonight (Nov. 4), with a talk by South Korean installation artist Jinnie Seo and New York playwright Paul David Young. The event is at the Palo Alto Art Center, 1313 Newell Road, Palo Alto. While the evening is free, reservations are required; call 650-329-2366. For more information, go to djerassi.org.

■ Film: 'After the Cup'

Tonight (Nov. 4) at 7:30 p.m. the 2009 Israeli film "After the Cup" will be shown as part of the Silicon Valley Jewish Film Festival at Cubberley Theatre, 4000 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto. The film follows the first soccer team from an Arab town to win the Israeli Cup, and the challenges that follow. It's in English, Hebrew and Arabic with English subtitles. General-admission tickets are $10.98 in advance and $13 at the door, with discounts available for students, seniors and groups. Go to svjff.org.
