■ Art: 'Chiaroscuro Woodcuts from 16th-Century Italy

Tomorrow (Nov. 3), the Cantor Arts Center opens a new free exhibition of 16th-century chiaroscuro woodcuts at the museum off Palm Drive on Museum Way at Stanford University. Chiaroscuro was a pioneering technology for reproducing images in color. The show includes works by Bartolomeo Coriolano, Ugo da Carpi and other artists, and runs through Feb. 27, open Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursdays until 8 p.m. Call 650-723-4177 or go to museum.stanford.edu.

■ Kids' theater: 'Cinderella'

The Palo Alto Children's Theatre opens its production of the musical "Cinderella" at 7 p.m. tomorrow (Nov. 3) at 1305 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto. Afternoon and evening performances run through Nov. 13. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for children. Call 650-463-4970 or go to cityofpaloalto.org.
