An apartment in the 600 block of Waverley Street in Palo Alto was burglarized sometime Saturday night or early Sunday morning as the resident slept, Palo Alto police said.

The resident had left his front door unlocked overnight and awoke Sunday to find his laptop computer, iPhone, two beers, a bottle of tequila and a bottle of schnapps missing. He called the police shortly before 8 a.m. Sunday.

“The gentleman did hear noises, but, as a resident of an apartment complex, dismissed it as noise from neighbors,” Palo Alto police Agent Kara Salazar said.

Anyone with information on the crime can contact the Palo Alto Police Department at 650-329-2413. Anonymous tips can be left by calling 650-383-8984 or by e-mailing or texting PaloAlto@TipNow.org.
