■ Talk: Rajmohan Gandhi

Professor Rajmohan Gandhi, grandson of Mahatma Gandhi, will speak on "Building Bridges for Peace" Saturday (Oct. 23) at 10 a.m. at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 670 E. Meadow Drive, Palo Alto. ■ Kizuna Concert for Down Syndrome

Bay Area Japanese professional musicians will come together to perform a classical-music concert to raise funds for the Silicon Valley Down Syndrome Network (SVDSN) Sunday (Oct. 24) at 3 p.m. at Mountain View Japanese Seventh-day Adventist Church, 195 N Rengstorff Ave., Mountain View.
