Power outage darkens region of north Palo Alto

 

A power outage of unknown origin darkened a large area of north Palo Alto Tuesday evening, the city Utilities Department reported.

The outage occurred at 8:34 p.m. and lasted about an hour, according to Huynh Vu.

Areas affected were Ramona Street, Quarry Road, Mitchell Lane, Urban Lane, Wells, Homer Avenue, Emerson Street, Waverley Street, Bryant Street, Forest Avenue and Gilman Street.

"The cause of this outage is unknown at this time and we are continuing to investigate," Vu said.
