■ Art talks: ‘Movement and Animation’

As part of an ongoing free lecture series at the Palo Alto Art Center, Estonian media artist Katri Haarde and San Francisco performer/choreographer Keith Hennessy will speak tonight (Sept. 23) at 7 p.m. The two are in residence at the Djerassi Resident Artists Program near Woodside. ■ Theater: ‘Our Town’

Tonight (Sept. 23) at 8 p.m., the Pear Avenue Theatre presents a preview performance of Thornton Wilder’s “Our Town” at 1220 Pear Ave., Unit K, Mountain View. The show runs through Oct. 17 and is being presented in repertory with Tony Kushner’s “Angels in America, Part One,” which means the plays alternate performances and the same lead actors are in both.
