Today's events (Aug. 27)

■ Theater: San Francisco Mime Troupe

Tonight (Aug. 27) at 7 p.m. and Saturday (Aug. 28) at 4 p.m., the San Francisco Mime Troupe gives free performances of "Posibilidad, or Death of the Worker" at Mitchell Park, 600 E. Meadow Drive, Palo Alto. Like past productions by the troupe, the work is a satirical musical, with modern political observations. "Posibilidad" takes place in a small American factory that is shutting down. Music performances start a half-hour before showtime. Go to sfmt.org.

■ Music: Native Elements

The Bay Area roots-reggae band Native Elements plays a free concert tonight (Aug. 27) from 6 to 8 p.m. in Redwood City's Courthouse Square at 2200 Broadway downtown. The outdoor concert is part of a free city series that runs through Oct. 8. For a full schedule of concerts, dance classes and other arts events, go to redwoodcity.org.
