■ Film: 'Murder on the Orient Express'

The 1974 mystery film "Murder on the Orient Express," featuring an all-star cast and a story based on the Agatha Christie classic, will be shown today (Aug. 16) at 7:30 p.m. at the Stanford Theatre, 221 University Avenue, Palo Alto. Tickets are $7 and also include admission to "Death on the Nile" at 5 or 9:50 p.m. For more information, visit Stanford Theatre.

■ Music: The Tamburr/Vitchev Project
