• Theater: 'Anything Goes'

Foothill Music Theatre's production of the Cole Porter musical "Anything Goes" plays tomorrow (July 29) through Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m., continuing Thursdays through Sundays through Aug. 15. Shows are at Smithwick Theatre at Foothill College, 12345 El Monte Road, Los Altos Hills. Tickets are $26 general, $24 for seniors, $18 for students, and $10 for children under 12. • Talk: 'Looking Down On Our Planet'

Ron Beck of the U.S. Geological Survey gives a free talk tomorrow (July 29) at 7 p.m. on satellite imagery of Earth. The event is in Conference Room A, Building 3, at the USGS at 345 Middlefield Road in Menlo Park. Topics covered will include the changing patterns of land use seen on Earth over decades of satellite imagery, such as urban growth and surface mining. Call 650-329-5000 or go to online.wr.usgs.gov.
