• Dance: Waltz lessons

Tonight (July 13) at 6 p.m., the Dancing on the Square series in downtown Redwood City's Courthouse Square takes on the waltz. The evening features a 30-minute demonstration followed by mini lessons and open social dancing. Dancing on the Square is free and no experience or partner is required. Tonight (July 13) at 7:30 p.m. at Kepler's Books, author William Powers will discuss his book "Hamlet's BlackBerry: A Practical Philosophy for Building a Good Life in the Digital Age." Powers offers theories about the effects of digital devices on our lives and solutions for managing our connectedness. The talk is free and held at 1010 El Camino Real, Menlo Park.
