Todd Feinberg named Paly assistant principal

Feinberg will replace Chuck Merritt, who will become principal of El Carmelo Elementary School

Palo Alto High School alumnus Todd Feinberg will return to the school as assistant principal next year, pending approval by the Board of Education tonight (Tuesday), Assistant Superintendent Scott Bowers announced in a press release.

Feinberg will replace Chuck Merritt, who will become principal of El Carmelo Elementary School next year.

"It is great to welcome Todd back to his alma mater. His knowledge of the school from a student's perspective, along with his energy and enthusiasm, will certainly help him make a smooth transition to his new position," Paly Principal Jacquie McEvoy said.

Feinberg began teaching in 2001 at JLS Middle School in the opportunity program. In 2005, he was appointed Dean of Students at Ralston Middle School in the Belmont-Redwood Shores School District and became assistant principal there in 2007.

Feinberg holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and economics from the University of Puget Sound and a J.D. from University of California-Hastings Law School. He holds an administrative credential and 2005 master's degree in education from Santa Clara University.

Since he's an alum, perhaps someone can ask this gentleman if he remembers cheating back at Paly in the day (see other thread...some claim this has always been going on there!?)
Perhaps he can initiate (let's make this suitably impressive) a program to educate our Paly students once and for all that is is wrong and unacceptable to plagiarize and/or cheat.
I know it's wrong, and some others do took, but the message apparently hasn't sunk in to all at Paly.
--From a Gunn grad (and Paly parent) who does not recall hearing/knowing/seeing/doing any cheating/plagiarizing in high school! Either I was in my own world or those were better times...
