Following is a list of this year's recipients:

Adolescent Counseling Services -- On Campus Counseling Program to middle and high school students in Palo Alto, Menlo Park. $7,500

American Red Cross Safe Ride program, celebrating it’s 20th year. Targets teen drinking and driving. $5,000

Challenge Learning Center Youth Leadership and Community Service program teaching leadership and public speaking skills. $5,000

Children’s Day in East Palo Alto Underwriting for Children’s Day in the Park, a free, fun-filled day with activities for parents and families. $4,000

Cleo Eulau Center Collaborative Counseling Program for at-risk teens at Community School South in East Palo Alto. $5,000

Community Breast Health Project Gabriella Paster Program, providing patient navigation services for low-income women and their families. $5,000

Community Development Institute Supports the Leadership Training Academy, a leadership training program for middle and high school youth.
$5,000

Community Legal Services in East Palo Alto -- To develop self-help materials that will reach underserved teenagers who are at risk of becoming involved in the juvenile justice system. $10,000

East Palo Alto Kids Foundation -- Provide small grants to educators on a quick turn-around basis. $7,500

East Palo Alto Senior Center -- Funds used for expenses of the daily breakfast program. $5,000

East Palo Alto YMCA Summer Day Camp and Specialty Camps serving 350-750 youth ages five through twelve. $10,000

Ecumenical Hunger Program Children’s Resource Center, a program dedicated to meeting the needs of low income children and families. $7,500

Family Connections -- Six week summer school program for low income families whose students are making the transition into kindergarten. $7,500

Foundation for a College Education College Bound program, including special workshops on various college preparedness topics. $5,000

Free At Last Youth Risk Reduction Outreach Project helps young people who are sidetracked into activities that could lead to serious health concerns. $7,500

Jordan Middle School PTA Support for Jordan Homework Center, an after-school study center for all Jordan students. $5,000

Kara Supports the Volunteer Training Session for the Youth and Family Service program.. $5,000

Lytton Gardens -- To expand the Friendly Visitors program, by recruiting more youth visitors o meet one-on-one with the elderly. $5,000

Music in the Schools -- To expand the in-school music program at Costaño School in East Palo Alto. $2,500

New Creation Home Ministries Supports New Creation Home which helps young mothers learn independent life skills. $5,000

Pacific Islander Community Center Support for tutorial classes for Pacific Islander students. $5,000

Palo Alto Art Center Foundation Cultural Kaleidoscope art education program partnering Palo Alto and Ravenswood schools. $5,000

Palo Alto Housing Corporation Support to expand Resident Services Program to the families at Oak Court apartments $5,000

PAPPA (Palo Alto Parents & Professionals for Art) -- Support a nine week pilot program providing late bus service for the Voluntary Transfer Program students from East Palo Alto, in order for students to participate in after school enrichment programs at three PAUSD elementary schools. $10,000

Parents Place Family Resource Center -- To improve the quality of childcare and intervene on behalf of at-risk children at six Palo Alto childcare centers. $10,000

Ravenswood City School District-Health Services -- To continue a comprehensive sexuality education and pregnancy prevention program for 5th and 8th grade students. $10,000

St. Francis of Assisi Boys Club -- Funds used towards field trips, sports activities and sports equipment $2500

St. Vincent de Paul Society -- Emergency rent, rental deposits and utility assistance. $5,000

Support Network for Battered Women -- To support the cost of the Shelter Children’s Coordinator. $5,000

West Bay Opera -- To expand performances of the Opera in the Schools program, designed to introduce opera to elementary school children in Palo Alto and East Palo Alto schools. $5,000

YES -- Reading Materials for one-on-one volunteer tutoring for Belle Haven School students. $7,500

Youth Community Service -- General support for the community service and leadership program, bringing together middle and high school youth from Palo Alto, EPA, Menlo Park and Redwood City. $5,000

ZOHAR -- To provide weekly IndepenDANCE instruction to underserved and special needs children throughout the Palo Alto area. $3,000

Child Care-Capital Grants

Friends Nursery School -- To remove a rotted fence around the children’s play yard and stabilize and upgrade another part of the play yard.. $5,000

Palo Alto Community Child Care -- Replace flooring in the infant and toddler rooms of Sojourner Truth Child Development Center $10,000

Preschool Family -- Renovation of the children’s restroom. $10,000
