Prioritizing SleepUploaded: Jan 5, 2020
My top New Years Resolution is to get more sleep in 2020. Waking up and soothing three kids over the past eight years has been exhausting. I’m sure there will be some sleepless nights in 2020, but this year I’m putting my need for sleep much closer to the top of my priority list.
I’m also prioritizing my fitness again. I started consistently working out again last year. This year I started using the Peloton app and I couldn’t be happier. I especially enjoy using the Peloton app when I am running outside. Having someone choose an energizing playlist and challenge me to run harder and faster definitely takes my workouts to the next level.
Finally, I’m hoping to be present as often as possible. Last year I gave away many of our baby items and found myself reminiscing about first smiles, words and steps. And now that our son is in elementary school it is too easy to be overly focused on the future and all of the skills we hope he masters over the next decade. This year I want to find a better balance. And spend a bit more time focused on our kids as they are right now.
What are your parenting resolutions for 2020?
