Read-a-thon Activities

Uploaded: Jan 26, 2021
We are thankful that our school is still holding its annual read-a-thon this year. Our kids love an excuse to buy new books, listen to storytimes, and see how many hours they spend reading each week.

Over the weekend we enjoyed SCEF read-a-thon’s author event with Jennifer Holm’s and we are excited to listen to Jesse Bennett’s talk this weekend. SCEF has many virtual events to inspire kids to read. We are especially looking forward to checking out the Exploritorium’s storytime science series.

This year we also decided to make a couple of fun bookmarks to use with our new books. Our favorite bookmarks so far are from Red Ted Art. Her animal bookmarks are adorable and the heart shaped bookmarks are perfect for Valentines Day.

If you are similarly doing a school read-a-thon this month, we hope you enjoy these virtual reading events and bookmarks as much as we are.
