Palo Alto's Baron Barista shutters

Uploaded: Mar 1, 2019
Third-wave cafe Baron Barista has closed after about a year of business in Palo Alto's Barron Park neighborhood.

A short sign posted at the 3990 El Camino Real cafe thanks customers for their support and states that gift cards will be refunded by the end of March.

Owner June Kwon, who also owns Immersion Spa next door, opened Baron Barista — her first cafe venture — last January to bring quality coffee to the area. Baron Barista served coffee from mostly Bay Area roasters, including San Francisco's Sightglass Coffee and Santa Cruz's Cat N Cloud.

Kwon did not immediately respond to requests for comment. This story will be updated if more information becomes available.
We need your support now more than ever. Can we count on you?
