Joe & the Juice headed to Redwood City

Uploaded: Dec 18, 2018
Danish cafe chain Joe & the Juice is continuing a rapid rate of local expansion with a new outpost set to open in downtown Redwood City in early 2019.

This Joe & the Juice is located at 889 Winslow St. It will follow three locations in Palo Alto and others in Burlingame, San Mateo and throughout San Francisco.

The company launched in Copenhagen in 2002 but is now a massive international chain quickly making a name for itself in America. Joe & the Juice operates more than 250 stores in more than 15 different countries and aims to have 250 in the U.S. alone by 2020, according to a job posting.

In 2019, Joe & the Juice plans to open 25 locations across the U.S., according to Valdemar Halbye, head of U.S. retail, including in Redwood City, Los Gatos, Walnut Creek and Lafayette.

They hope to be open in Redwood City by Feb. 1, Halbye said.
