Our first trip to Gilroy Gardens as a family of five

Uploaded: Jun 9, 2017
We weren't sure how adding a newborn to the mix would change our experience at places like Gilroy Gardens. Before we went as a family of five I was planning to call Gilroy Gardens to figure out if there were any rides we would need to skip or any issues we might run into now that our kids outnumber us.

However, when we had a free Sunday, we decided to just wing it. And luckily the day went quite smoothly.

While I enjoyed the outing, it was definitely my husband and two oldest kids who got the most out of the visit. They were able to go on all of the rides we usually go on. Baby and I tagged along on the carousel and the train, but did little else. It's bittersweet to watch these joyful experiences from afar. But I'm glad my kids enjoyed some quality time together and with their dad.

Our toddler is constantly asking us when her baby sister will be old enough to join in on the fun. I know that day will come sooner than we all expect.

Thank you Gilroy Gardens for a wonderful day.
Democracy.
What is it worth to you?

Despite the GG park's size and the rides, it is a peaceful, relaxing place.
Make sure you get tickets in advance online - that way they are much cheaper. Also, remember they charge extra for parking.

Curious - Yes, Gilroy Gardens is a surprisingly peaceful and relaxing place considering how many little kids go. Thanks for sharing your tips about getting tickets in advance online.

The last paragraph contains a somewhat amusing typo, FYI.

Glen - Thanks for catching that! Yes, that would be a very young babysitter.
