Grateful for Gate Passes

Uploaded: Jun 23, 2015
Luckily my first time flying alone with two kids went pretty smoothly. However, I feel silly for not making the experience easier on myself. On my return flight to California I learned about gate passes. I didn't need to go through security and wait at the gate alone, my parents could join me up until I boarded the plane. They just needed to receive gate passes.

My return flight ended up being 3 hours delayed and my parents helped me out immensely. I'm sure that our flight back would have been a completely different experience without their help at the airport.

Have you used gate passes when traveling with kids on your own? Did you find it helpful?
