CITY COUNCIL ... The council has no meetings scheduled this week.

ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW BOARD ... The board plans to discuss 180 El Camino Real, a proposal by Stanford Shopping Center to make façade improvements, including a new awning and light fixtures; consider the San Francisquito Creek Joint Powers Authority flood-protection project between Highway 101 and the San Francisco Bay; and hold a study session on 27 University Ave., a proposal to build an office complex and a theater as part of a new "arts and innovation district." The meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 1, in the Council Chambers at City Hall (250 Hamilton Ave.).
