Simitian to hold 'Sidewalk Office Hours' in Palo Alto

State senator to be at farmers market on Saturday

Bookmark and Share
State Sen. Joe Simitian (D-Palo Alto) will return to his district to hold public office hours at the downtown farmers market this Saturday.

Simitian will be taking residents' questions about state legislative issues from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The farmers market is held behind the downtown post office at Hamilton Avenue and Gilman Street.

Simitian has in the past said that he finds it "tremendously helpful to hear first-hand what folks in my district have on their minds."

His is a familiar name in Palo Alto, which he has represented on the school board, City Council, county Board of Supervisors, state Assembly and state Senate.

In June, Simitian, who is in his final term in the Senate, was elected to the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors.

More information on the event can be found at www.senatorsimitian.com/events or by calling 650-688-6384 or 408-277-9460.
