Streetwise
Question and interviews by Andrew Thompson. Photographs by Adam Heyman.
Have you seen or do you want to see Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth?
Asked outside a Starbucks at Midtown.
Erica Atkinson

"I definitely am interested in seeing it. My mother saw it and said it was very good. Global warming is something I'm definitely concerned about. I have a lot of respect for Al Gore and his passion on that topic. I wish he had shown that sort of passion during the election."

"I'd be willing to see the film. America is, like, 5 percent of the world's population, and 25 percent of the pollution is caused by us. So that's kind of a problem. You got SUVs here in America, and it's just killing the environment. I think they should probably choose a car that's more efficient."

"Don't have much of an opinion on that. I haven't paid much attention to it. There's too much from both sides that I don't agree with."
Morgann Trumbull

Lincoln Avenue
"I would like to see the film. I've heard good things about it. I'm from a family that's really interested in the environment, so it's right up my alley."
Neil Salem

"I think it was great; I think everyone should watch it. It's important, and it really makes you want to get out and do something."
