CITY COUNCIL ... The council plans to meet in closed session to discuss existing litigation, Schmidlin v. City of Palo Alto. The council is also scheduled to hold a hearing on the planned sale of the downtown post office and hear an update on Sustainable Community Strategy and regional mandates for housing. The closed session will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 21. Regular meeting will follow in the Council Chambers at City Hall (250 Hamilton Ave.).

PLANNING AND TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION ... The commission plans to consider Lytton Gateway, a proposed five-story mixed-use building at 355 Alma St., site of a former Shell Station. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 22, in the Council Chambers at City Hall (250 Hamilton Ave.).

COUNCIL REGIONAL HOUSING MANDATE COMMITTEE ... The committee plans to discuss the city's response to Alternative Land Use Scenarios for the Sustainable Communities Strategy. The meeting will begin at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 23, in the Council Conference Room at City Hall (250 Hamilton Ave.).

LIBRARY ADVISORY COMMISSION ... The commission plans to discuss the Service & Efforts Accomplishment Report, 2012 commissioner assignments and commission priorities. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 23, in the Downtown Library (270 Forest Ave.).
