City Council (May 16)
Cell facilities: The council heard a presentation about the trends surrounding wireless-communication facilities and discussed the city's process for reviewing applications for such facilities. Action: None
Library director: The council approved the contract of Monique le Conge, the city's new library director. Yes: Unanimous
Finance Committee (May 17)
Utilities budget: The committee discussed and tentatively approved the fiscal year 2012 budgets for the Utility Department's electric, gas, wastewater and water funds. Yes: Unanimous
Historic Resources Board (May 18)
630 Ramona St.: The board approved, with conditions, a proposal to perform a historic rehabilitation at 630 Ramona St., a Category II historic resource. Yes: Unanimous
Planning and Transportation Commission (May 18)
Stanford University Medical Center: The commission recommended creation of a Hospital District to enable expansion of Stanford University Medical Center; and recommended approval of the proposed development between Palo Alto and Stanford.
