High School Athletes of the Week

Gunn High

The sophomore point guard finished with 41 points, 12 rebounds and 16 steals in three games and was named the Most Valuable Player in her division as the Titans rolled to a solid 2-1 finish after falling in the championship game of the KSA Classic basketball tournament in Orlando, Fla.

T.J. Braff, Michael Cullen

Palo Alto High

The senior two-way players each had 10 tackles, combined for five catches for 61 yards and Braff had two fumble recoveries to help the Vikings hold off high-powered Centennial (Corona) to win the CIF Division I state football title, 15-13, and finish 14-0.
