MAKING HISTORY ... Gertrude Dyer Wilks, a well-known East Palo Alto civil-rights activist and founder of Mothers for Equal Education, has published her memoir. "Gathering Together" is a passionate account of her community activities since moving to East Palo Alto in 1955.
