HOLIDAY FOODS ... Cindy Roberts will teach how to cook "The Ultimate Thanksgiving" on Monday, Nov. 1, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. and Yannette Fichou Edwards will offer a class on preparing an "Elegant Holiday Dinner" on Tuesday, Nov. 2, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The Thanksgiving class will offer both traditional and contemporary recipes, including No-Fail Stuffing, Shiitake Mushroom Gravy and Mashed Potatoes with chilis and jack cheese. The holiday dinner features dishes that can be prepared ahead, including Dates Stuffed with Smoked Almonds and Bacon, Potatoes Parisienne and white chocolate Coeur a la Creme. Both classes, which are held in Room 103 at Palo Alto High School, 50 Embarcadero Road, Palo Alto, and cost $50, include demonstration, participation and sampling.
