WINE TIME ... It's probably not advisable to drink all of them, but visitors can still get a good array of samples at an upcoming wine-tasting event featuring 130 wines. Pampas restaurant at 529 Alma St. in downtown Palo Alto is hosting the event on Tuesday, March 30, from 5 to 9 p.m.

Sixty wineries in California, Spain and South American will be represented. Organizers said all featured wines will be up for sale at wholesale prices.

Admission to the event is $25 in advance and $30 at the door. Call 650-327-1323 or go to www.pampaspaloalto.com.
