Jacobs, who has a career best of 4:00.46 outdoors, said she was ready to run as fast as 4:05 to win. She promised to share the gold medal with her training partner, Floyd, her pet poodle.

Weaver scored 16 points in the title game, which left his latest Vikings team at 32-3. In a 101-81 semifinal win over Hartnell, Weaver came off the bench for 10 points. He tallied 19 points in a 103-90 quarterfinal win over Riverside.
