Author's Tea Sponsored by Palo AAUW and being held April 18 at 2 p.m., the fourth annual author's tea will feature 20 local authors who will be available for conversation over tea and afternoon treats. Individual author's books will be sold, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Educational Foundation. You will have an opportunity to visit and have books autographed by all authors. MBA Challenge for Charity 5K/10K Run The 15th annual event will be held April 19, 8:30 a.m. at Stanford University. The race features a Stanford stadium finish, post-race feast, party and entertainment. Prizes will be awarded to top finishers and winning teams. The race is open to the public. The entry fee is $20. Woodside-Atherton Garden Club flower events The day will include award-winning horticultural displays and flower arrangements along with beautiful garden photography from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Portola Town Center, 765 Portola Road, Portola Valley. Peninsula World Travel/American Express Encourages Travelers to Bring Home Hotel Shampoos and Soap Peninsula World Travel of Menlo Park is beginning its campaign to donate travel-size shampoos and soaps to the Haven Family House in Menlo Park. Travelers are urged to bring home these items and drop them off at the Menlo Park office. The items collected will be delivered to the Haven Family House, a homeless shelter in Menlo Park.
