Inspired by the great indoors
Friends and fellow landscape painters Adrienne Gillespie and Risa Hackett met a few years back when they were both painting on the same Peninsula hill. While they say they both prefer to paint outside in open light and space, this year's long, rainy winter had them working together indoors. The result of a year's worth of paintings is a collaborative exhibit titled "Indoors/Outdoors: A Painter's Year X 2." The show is up at the Center for Integrated Systems and the Terman Engineering Center at Stanford University through Aug. 7. Pictured above is Hackett's "Child's Play No. 2."
