Love-A-Book-Festival Feb. 26, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., East Palo Alto Library, 2415 University Ave., East Palo Alto. Festivities include an appearance by Clifford, the Big Red Dog, bilingual/Spanish book reading and storytelling. Free.

Free Garbage Collection Feb. 26-27 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Ravenswood High School, Cooley at Donohoe streets. EPA residents will be allowed to deposit household trash, debris, garbage, appliances and furniture. Call Peter Nwokolo at 853-3144.

Ravenswood Little League baseball sign-ups and tryouts through Feb. 26 at Martin Luther King Park at Daisy Lane. Coaches and umpires needed. Call 323-1739.

Free Recyclable Hazardous Waste Collection Feb. 26-27, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Ravenswood High School, Cooley at Donohoe, EPA. Recyclable wastes that will be accepted include: Latex paints, waste oil, antifreeze, car batteries. No business/commercial wastes and hazardous chemicals. Call Peter Nwokolo at 853-3144.

EPA Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors meet Feb. 28, 6 p.m., Room 2B or 2C, 2415 University Ave., East Palo Alto. Call 324-1303.

EPA Planning Commission meets Feb. 28, 7:30 p.m., Council Chambers, 2415 University Ave., East Palo Alto.

East Palo Alto Youth Center is in need of these items for its after-school program: pool tables; ping pong table, VCR, large screen tv monitor, Aero Hockey Game, video games, Sega Genesis, Nintendo, table soccer games, dart board, Macintosh Computer with printer. Call Meda or Keith at 853-3140.
