Palo Alto City Council . . . The council will discuss an amendment in the city's budget to set aside $965,000 for the two-year Charleston-Arastradero Corridor traffic-calming trial, which is scheduled to begin next year. The special meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19 inside the City Council Chambers of City Hall (250 Hamilton Ave.).

Palo Alto Parks and Recreation Commission . . . The commission will discuss fees for the Community Gardening program and the future of a 1.5 acre undeveloped plot of land at Greer Park. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20 inside the Council Conference room of City Hall (250 Hamilton Ave.).
