Palo Alto City Council . . . The council will hold a public hearing on the scoping phase of the environmental study of the San Francisco Public Utilities Commision's Water System Improvement Program, will consider the adoption of a zero-waste resolution and approval of the zero-waste strategic plan and will consider the formation of a committee to study marketing the city as a tourist destination. The regular meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17 in the City Council Chambers at City Hall (250 Hamilton Ave.). The council will also hold a special joint meeting with the Parks and Recreation Commission at 6 p.m.
Palo Alto Architectural Review Board . . . The board give a preliminary review of a planned-community application for 901 San Antonio Road, the Campus for Jewish Life. The meeting will be held at 8 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 20 inside the City Council Chambers of City Hall (250 Hamilton Ave.).
Palo Alto Director's Hearing . . . The planning department will hold a public hearing on 455 Santa Rita Ave., the Old Palo Alto home remodel with the third-story addition that is being contested by neighbors Nancy and Richard Alexander. The staff will also hold a forum on Antonio's Nut House to review compliance with its use permit. The meeting will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday Oct. 20, in the Palo Alto City Council Conference Room at City Hall (250 Hamilton Ave.).
