Sneak preview
Sneak preview
(September 16, 2005) by Rebecca Wallace
Whether you sway to Stravinsky, sitars or Sondheim -- or get a charge out of Chinese ceramics or charcoal drawings -- chances are you have an appreciation for the Midpeninsula's thriving arts scene.
Putting together our annual arts and entertainment preview guide for the 2005-06 season, we have found a wealth of possibilities in the area, covering music, theater, art galleries, museums, opera and dance.
There are big names, such as the Martha Graham Dance Company and the Choir of Westminster Abbey, both performing at Stanford Lively Arts. And there is plenty to do with little art-lovers, such as an exhibit of oversized kaleidoscopes at the Palo Alto Junior Museum and Zoo and a show of construction toys at the Museum of American Heritage.
We hope this guide of highlights will help you plan your calendar as you delve into the arts and entertainment world this season.
